Hollyfields is a Barchester care group care home located in Kidderminster in the scenic Habberley Valley. Hollyfields has 36 bedrooms and provides nursing care and dementia care using person-centred plans that are tailor made for each resident. Also available for those at an earlier stage in their dementia is Ivy House, a luxury seven-bedroom house with its own lounge, dining and kitchen facilities. Residents are kept busy with the home’s activity classes and day trips and have the benefit of being just a few minutes from the town centre and all the amenities it has to offer.

I have been a Registered General Nurse for 20 years and have 8 years of Care Home management experience including working in specialist dementia care. I love my work at Hollyfields where we provide residents with the very best in dementia care as well as providing more minimal care for people who simply need support to carry on living their best life. Our home is a warm and reassuring place and I am proud of my team members who work so hard to ensure it is a safe, happy place every day. The development seemed to tick all the boxes, including fast transport links to London and a direct train to Cannon Street station, located a few steps from their office, and an attractive leafy location. We had our first Summer Fete for a couple of years, residents, families, friends and locals came together and enjoyed food drinks stalls tombola and lots of laughter. Ivy House is our luxury 7-bedded house that supports those at an earlier stage in their developing dementia. This unit fully supports residents, but offers an opportunity for individuals to remain socially active. They have their own lounge, dining and kitchen facilities and are encouraged to take part in activities in the home and their community.
I am level 3 qualified and was previously in a senior/team leader role. TrustedCare offers free help & advice for people looking for care for themselves or a loved one. Our varied activities programme reflects the dedication of our skilled staff, who bring a certain uniqueness to the home, which can't be found anywhere else. Many schools had therefore suspended face-to-face classes for Monday – such as in the Lahn-Dill and Limburg-Weilburg districts.
